DCC Colts Looking Sharp This Season

Dear DCC Family,

I hope you and the family are well, not long until we will start preparation on the field for the 2022 season. As always, work has been going on in the background as we look to get set for the new season.

From 2022 onwards, Dorking CC will be moving to a coloured kit for the junior section. This will be a:

  • Royal blue shirt
  • Black trousers
  • Brown cap

This moves the club toward a more contemporary identity on the field. To achieve this, junior memberships for 2022 will be increased by £50 (to £140).

This means £140 will cover a full junior membership (which remains £90) plus all the playing kit, which we envisage players wearing for Friday night training also.

The kit will be ordered before the season by the club (to ensure it arrives on time) and the expectation is that all players wear the kit at matches to ensure parity across all age groups. Importantly, once you have purchased the kit, your membership price will return to a normal membership price from 2023. Should you wish to purchase further coloured kit year upon year (e.g. if it’s lost, damaged or too small), then this can ordered before the season each year.

To place your order please complete this form :

The kit provided will also be the same as the academy and Surrey Trust side kit. This means that as players move from junior to Surrey Trust league cricket (U16 - U23), they will not need to buy additional kit ensuring a pathway for junior members into adult cricket. A positive move I believe, and we hope you feel like you can support this.

Special thanks to Romida sports who will be offering this at cost price and continue to support the club fantastically each year.

FAQs

How much will the kit cost and what will I get?
- The package costs £50 and you will get a shirt, trousers and cap.

When do I need to place my order and have paid by?
- You need to place your order and paid by Friday 11th February 2022

How can I pay?
- You can pay via cash at winter nets or by BACS by with reference “Youth Kit NAME”. You should complete the survey to place your order.

Can I buy separate items of kit?
- For 2022 we will not be selling items individually. We are providing the kit at cost price through Romida and for ease of admin and our desire to have all players in the same kit, we wish for everyone to purchase the set.

Can I order the kit closer to the season?
- We will place another kit order after all memberships have been collected in April 2022. However, this is the busiest period for cricket kit production and there could be up to a 6-week lead-in for the kit to arrive. By placing the first order by 11th February 2022 we are ensuring the kit arrives for the start of the season.

Do I need to pay my membership fee and kit fee together?
- No, you can pay your membership fee closer to the season, however, if you wish to combine payments, then this is fine.

Do I need to buy the kit each year?
- No, once you have purchased the kit in 2022, your membership fee will return to the normal price from 2023 onwards.

If my child grows out of an item of his/her kit, can I purchase that item individually?
- Yes, from 2023 onwards we plan to sell individual pieces, and allow for ordering of individual items for those who have grown out of or lost items of their kit.

Can I donate items of kit that my child has grown out of?
- WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO! If in the future your child has become too big for a shirt or pair of trousers, we would love for you to donate this to the club so age groups can begin to have a collection of kit to help those who may not be able to afford their own, or for new members who are waiting for kit.

Will DCC provide sample sizes?
- Yes, DCC will have sample sizes at winter nets to ensure players can order the correct sizes.

Are there short/long sleeve options?
- There is only a short sleeve option.

What age groups should purchase the kit?
- We would like age groups from U8s and upwards to purchase the kit. Even if you are in your last year of junior cricket (U15) you will be able to continue to use the kit as you move in to the Surrey Trust side (U16-U23).

Is there a discount on kit for a second/third child?
- No, unfortunately we cannot discount kit if there is more than one child per family. However, the discount on membership should you have more than one child per family will continue.

Any questions please do email me directly and I will be happy to help.
Toby

Junior Head Coach & 1st XI Captain.
