In 2022, DCC introduced an initative to signficantly increase the number of women and girls involved in playing cricket and this summer we’d like to continue growing the sport. We’re a wonderfully inclusive and sociable club and we welcome anyone, no matter their experience.

GIRLS’ CRICKET

Girls from Year 3 and up can join us for training on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6pm from the 26th April and Friday evenings, and beginners are always welcome. They’ll be trained by one of our ECB-qualified coaches and all equipment will be provided. Girls younger than Year 3 can join mixed the junior training at 5.30pm on Fridays which will start on 28th April.

WOMEN’S CRICKET

We play both softball and hardball cricket, the latter being an exciting new addition for 2023. Everyone is welcome and no specialist kit or any previous experience is required. For beginners, we recommend starting with softball as it’s the perfect way to get a feel for the game in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Softball training sessions led by female ECB-qualified coaches are held on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm (after the easter holidays) and we regularly take part in matches and festivals with other teams across Surrey.

Join us between 3pm and 5pm on the 23rd April at Pixham Sports Ground for a fun and informal afternoon of taster sessions led by our coaches.
