Dorking, August 24, 2025 — Glorious sunshine, thrilling cricket, and a buzzing family atmosphere made the DCC Charity 6-a-Side event a huge hit this past Sunday, raising vital funds for The Children’s Trust.

Held on Sunday 24th August at Dorking Cricket Club, the ground was alive with energy as teams took to the field in a fast-paced 6-a-side format. With great music pumping throughout the day, courtesy of a top-notch PA system provided by Surrey Event Services, there wasn’t a dull moment — on or off the pitch.

The event was more than just cricket. Families came out in force to enjoy a fantastic day, with delicious food and drink, kids' activities, and even face painting, thanks to Sandie and her wonderful team who brought colour and joy to the young attendees.

A massive thank you goes out to the volunteers who gave up their time to make the event run smoothly — from setting up to serving refreshments, your efforts didn’t go unnoticed.

All proceeds from the day go to The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability, helping to support life-changing rehabilitation and care.

“We’re so grateful to everyone who turned out and contributed — it was a perfect day for cricket, fun, and giving back,” said one of the organisers. “We can’t wait to do it all again.”
