Erasmus, joined by Kenway at the crease reached another faultless half-century, but it was the youngster Kenway who played the more aggressive role. Charlie struck 7 boundary 4s and 4 6s in his entertaining innings of 64 from 60 balls, before he was dismissed by Jackson. Erasmus and Blood continued the onslaught as Dorking looked to declare in a rain reduced game. That declaration came after 47 overs, following Erasmus smashing a brilliant unbeaten century at just under a run a ball. Dorking finished on 233-5 from 47 overs.

With rain reducing further overs, Sanderstead were left 41 overs in which to chase down the victory total. The away side started ultra aggressively and reached 70 without loss after 7 overs. Shareef Hassan reaching a brilliant 50 from 23 balls. Corbett returned to remove Shareef caught on the deep square leg boundary by Thurgood and this was followed by the wicket of Ward. Fellow opener Owen was dismissed by off spinner Kelsey caught by Thurgood again and the game was back in the balance. Kelsey continued to cause lots of trouble for Sanderstead and followed up the wicket of Owen with 3 more. Kelsey removed Branch, Zadran and Ranger all LBW. Fellow spinner Edward chipped in with another wicket, this time caught at long on. Unfortunately, the rain returned with the game in the balance at 153-7.
