We look forward to welcoming you back down the lane this Saturday (4th July) for a socially distant drink!

Hello DCC Member!

We hope you are all doing well. We have some big news to share with you!
!!!THE BAR IS OPENING!!!
**SAT 4th JULY 12pm-9pm**

As Boris has said pubs & bars can open from the 4th of July as long as specific measures have been put in place, DCC feels we can meet the criteria and so will be opening with 2m social distancing, online table service, new stocklist, and to sweeten the deal the new committee will be your waiters.

To ensure social distancing, we will offer outside tables only, but there's no better view in Dorking to sit with a cold beer!

Specific details will be provided at the field on how to order your drinks. But just so you know a range of options will be made available to you to order your drinks, from an ‘online bar portal’ were you can browse, order & pay for your drinks with no contact to more traditional ways with bar staff, taking your order with a pen & paper (you might need to shout from afar so they can hear you from 2 metres away)!

Toilets will be open also, and clear signage will be in operation on maximum occupancies and routes to use these facilities.

Bring family and friends in up to groups of 6 and reserve your tables or just turn-up!

Reserve a table (name, time, number of ppl) by emailing secretary@dorkingcc.co.uk

More Good News!
Further, over the past 12 weeks the bar, dining room, changing rooms, toilets and all areas of the clubhouse have been COMPLETELY renovated! So, you may want to come and have a peek through the window of the renovations that have happened!

Thanks to our close friends at Old Dorkinians Football Club and at the Mole Valley Athletics Club as we all chipped in together as one to help with the renovation work at the club house!

A Reminder on Covid Advice
It is important to remember that the following advice still applies:
• Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (temperature above 37.8 °C, a persistent cough, breathing problems, a new loss of taste or smell or other symptoms identified by the UK Government) must stay at home and self-isolate in accordance with the UK Government guidance.
• All members of the same household must do the same even if they do not display symptoms.
• Those with an underlying health condition which makes them ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ and who have been advised to shield must follow specific UK Government advice – refer to current UK Government guidance.
• People aged 70 and over are advised to minimise their contact with others outside of their household as per current UK Government guidance.
• Anyone who has been told to self-isolate through the NHS test and trace system should follow the guidance they have been given

As usual the latest UK government advice can be found here
Looking forward to seeing you all, sunshine can’t be guaranteed but the good times can!
