Dorking CC are looking for a bar manager for the 2021 season and likely beyond, to ensure a professional environment for residents, social and playing members. We would love someone with some experience and enthusiasm to help us move the club forwards.

Job Description

Weekly Duties
• Complete weekly stock order with respective
• Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to all club members
• Promote lines based on sponsorship requirements for the club
• Create schedules and rotas for bar staff
• Maintain integrity of the liquor licence and the club’s reputation
• Maintain a fun, safe atmosphere for all patrons
• Complete stock takes
• Management of till system
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area
• Complete beer and soft drink line cleaning in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Organise technical servicing and maintenance when required
• Report any issues with building and/or bar equipment to PSGA committee

Consistent Working Hours
The successful candidate will need to arrange for the bar to be open*:
• Thurs 6pm – 9pm
• Fri 4pm – 10pm
• Sat 2pm – 11pm
• Sun 3 pm – 9pm

The successful candidate will need to place stock order by Monday for the coming week but may carry out the other duties in a timely manner suited to them.

*hours are subject to change upon club requirements

Additional hours
• There will be additional hours available to the successful candidate throughout the year for scheduled events as well as the club’s desire to show live sport and start quiz evenings for local residents.

Renumeration
• £300 per month + hourly rate of £10 per hour for bar service.
The successful candidate will be employed on a self-employed basis and invoice the PSGA for work carried out.
