Zoysa and Blood Power Dorking to Crushing 215-Run Victory

Zoysa's magnificent 136 and Blood's explosive 89 laid the platform before a ruthless bowling display sealed Dorking's biggest win of the season.
Dorking CC 1st XI delivered one of their most dominant performances in recent years, overwhelming Sunbury CC 2nd XI by 215 runs at Pixham Lane to record their biggest victory of the 2026 Surrey Championship campaign.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Dorking produced a superb all-round batting display to post an imposing 336 all out, before dismissing Sunbury for just 121 inside 28 overs.
The foundation was laid by another outstanding innings from Maduranga Zoysa, who continued his remarkable season with a magnificent 136 from 123 balls. Timing the ball beautifully throughout, Zoysa struck 21 boundaries and controlled the innings from start to finish.
He was brilliantly supported by Charlie Kenway, whose aggressive 48 from 46 balls kept the scoreboard moving, before Toby Blood took the attack to Sunbury in devastating fashion.
Blood blasted 89 from only 63 deliveries, smashing 11 fours and three sixes, turning an excellent total into a match-winning one as Dorking raced beyond the 330 mark.
Although wickets fell regularly towards the end of the innings, the damage had already been done, leaving Sunbury with a daunting chase.
If the batting was impressive, the bowling was even more ruthless.
Charlie Kenway struck twice in his opening spell to immediately put Sunbury under pressure before Chris Weill produced another outstanding display of controlled spin bowling, finishing with exceptional figures of 3-30 from 10 overs, including a maiden.
Ben Rogers matched him with 2-42, while Toby Blood claimed 3-28, wrapping up the tail to complete an emphatic victory.
There was little respite for the visitors as wickets continued to tumble, with only Nate Bhardwaj offering prolonged resistance with 42.
Sunbury were eventually bowled out for 121, handing Dorking a comprehensive 215-run victory.
